Created for the love of culture, flavor and spice. After years of chasing the Aji Amarillo flavor—pleading with relatives to send fresh sauces, trying (and often failing) to grow our own peppers, even attempting to set up a farm in Texas—we realized it was time. We needed to bring the authentic taste of Aji Amarillo to our kitchen and to yours. So, we took a leap. We returned to Peru, partnering with local farmers and a manufacturer who shared our obsession with quality and flavor. Guided by my mother’s cherished homestyle recipe, we insisted on using only the BEST and FRESHEST Aji Amarillo peppers, grown under the Andean sun. Our sauce is pure and simple, with just SIX main ingredients. The result? A sauce that tastes just as fresh and delicious as the one my mom used to make. |

I was born in Ankara, Turkey, and immigrated to the United States at the age of eighteen. I learned English and got my master’s in Civil Engineering at Montana State University. As soon as I graduated, I got a job in Houston, which is where I’ve been living for the past 5 years. During an extended sabbatical from work, I decided to take advantage of the cultural exposures I had growing up, and use traditional Turkish materials and styles in the design of jewelry and towels. |

Houston based visual artist, Monica Melgar, has been pursuing her professional art career for the past 15 years. Although she studied Graphic Communication at the Art Institute of Houston, her painting skills are self-taught. It all started from her constant doodling in high school that she used to relax her stressed mind. During her childhood her parents moved back and forth between Mexico and the U.S. and as a result, her artistic expressions are influenced by the vivid colors and delicate patterns found in Mexican artisanry. Her painting style has now changed from tiny dashes to fine linework that create abstract images that sometimes take on an accidental form of a flower or a sea creature. Most of her recent paintings are made with acrylic gouache paint that allows her to use very fine paint brushes to freehand her signature linework. |

I’m Miriam, a digital artist and the creator of Papermolas. I design art inspired by molas, a textile art form of the Guna Indians of Panama and Colombia. Born and raised in Panama, I felt disconnected from my culture when I moved to the U.S., and while looking for a special gift for close friends and not able to find it, Papermolas was born. I’d like to share a little bit of Panamanian culture with the world with my art, by combining it with everyday objects, animals or landmarks, but I’m always open to suggestions for new designs. I have a selection of different items that include greeting cards, prints and novelty gifts printed by me in my home studio. |
